South Windsor Farmers' Market
The Summer/South Windsor Farmers Market in the beautiful, riverfront, historic town of South Windsor is a great place to be on Saturday mornings. This is a true Community Event and an inviting place for families to visit! We are open from June 18 – Oct 8, 10am – 1pm, on the green at the South Windsor Community Center, on Nevers Rd (across from South Windsor High School).
The Market has between 45-50 local vendors: farms, food producers, service providers…..
Each week there are musicians, and the market has other activities on many other weeks, that include: kids events, reptile shows, pony rides, visiting tractors, visiting firetrucks, chef demonstrations, market talks with guest experts (medicinal plants, making ravioli, exercise as medicine, whole foods nutrition, plant based nutrition), all part of our educational programs.
Products include: farm fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, fruit pies, local jams and jellies, ravioli & fresh pasta; grass-fed beef and pork, artisanal breads, goat cheese & cow cheese; goat milk soaps & lotions. Lunch options include: Ban Chiang Thai Food; Vegetables and Meat Pies;
The market is sponsored by the South Windsor FOOD Alliance, (a sub-committee of the South Windsor Park & Recreation Commission), and is a non-profit group whose mission is to support local farming and create new ventures to assist local farmers. We work in conjunction with the SW Park & Recreation Commission, and the SW Agricultural Land Preservation Advisory Commission.
The market accepts SNAP-EBT cards at the Market.
