West End Farmers’ Market of Hartford
"one of Hartford's oldest
Tuesdays on Clemens Green, Farmington Ave,
between Woodland St & Owen St.
June 5 -September 25, 4-7 pm
October 2-23 3-6 pm
Right next door to the Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe houses, you’ll find this true neighborhood market. The West End Farmers’ Market has an incredibly diverse customer base gathering in a residential, yet also urban, setting.
The market’s vendors include several organic farmers, such as Sweet Acre Farm and Grow Hartford, fresh bread from Farm to Hearth, goat cheese from Oak Leaf Dairy, and the best peaches in Connecticut, thanks to Little Acre Farm. New to the market is Copper Hill Farms – great pork, including bacon! With a rotating list of guest vendors, including Chet’s Italian Ice, the West End Farmers’ Market is a popular Tuesday destination for the Hartford community. Keep an eye on the WEFM website – they are known for their community events, including market days when they give away strawberry shortcake, or corn! It truly is a vibrant and fun market…not to be missed!
